Description:

Understanding the psychological effect of music can help us understand more about the interaction between human beings and music. This research adopts machine learning to predict the measures of psychological effect for excerpts of music. Using a research dataset of musical pieces correlated with valence and arousal values - psychological measures of positivity and intensity, we train neural networks to learn patterns in the musical signal associated with different emotions.
